Aside

Where have all the children gone?

Where have all the children gone?

Are they hiding in their rooms

Instead of hiding and seeking?

Are they playing on their IPAD

Instead of playing outside?

Are they running to adulthood

Instead of running the bases, the courts, the fields?

Are they studying grown-ups

Instead of studying games and math skills?

Are they learning dependence and avoidance

Instead of learning how to tackle a task and independence?

Where have all the children gone?

Are they like me before I grew up?

Instead they are different and unique.

  1. Running to adulthood indeed. I look at my high school students and wonder if they ever really had a childhood. They rush from one thing to another, always thinking about grades and college and never seem to just be.
